This bridge was built using stones from the Bastille. The stones were used for this so we could march over tyranny. Posted by Picasa

This is the soldier's building or the Hotel de Invalides. It was founded by Louis XIV to house wounded veterans. It is surrounded by a man made moat and event the shrubs are bullet shaped! Posted by Picasa

This is the soldier's church. It's called Eglise du Dome, and is famous for containing Napolean's remains. That's real gold on the dome. Posted by Picasa

This is the inside of the Eiffel Tower from the 1st level. Would you want this job? We watched this guy check and recheck his ropes for about 10 minutes. We never saw him move though. Posted by Picasa

The Arc de Triomphe - 162 ft. high and 146 ft wide. Tweleve streets meet here in one heck of a traffic circle! The Arc de Triomphe was constructed as a tribute to the successes of the Napolenic campaigns. The sun rises directly over the monument's center on August 15, Napolean's birthday. Posted by Picasa

An Egyptian monument in the center of Place de la Concorde. This square was begun in 1755 in honor of Louis XV. It is where Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette and thousands of others were beheaded by guillotine during the Reign of Terror. Posted by Picasa
