The week of July 16th, Adam went to Nijmegen, Holland to participate in the 4 Degasse (the 4 day march). This is a week long event with 4 days of road marching. Participants complete 25 miles a day, for a total 100 miles to earn a completion medal. Unfortunately, the weather was awful this year and after one day of marching, the event was called off due to several heat injuries and medical staff being overwhelmed. This was the third time in 90 years that the march wasn't completed. The first two times were for world wars. Posted by Picasa
