Adam's first German piggy! He shot this wild boar on August 3rd. Stay tuned for more to come...

This is the group of jagers Adam hunts with. Elizabeth is on the left with her son Richard in the back. Erhard is in the front; he's the hunting lease holder. Aiko is the dog that isn't looking at the camera.

This is Burg Ravensburg, a small castle in Sulzfeld that is still family owned. We had a very nice dinner there. It's only about 40 minutes from where we live.

Adam likes the wild boar furs they use as rugs.

This is where we wanted to eat, but it was raining, so we had to eat inside. The food was excellent! We'll go back on a nicer day and get a seat on the terrace.

This is in the courtyard at the Ravensburg. They are a family of hunters. There is plenty of game on the menu that the family has hunted themselves.

We took a trip to the Bodensee (Lake Constance) in June. The lake is bordered by Germany, Austria & Switzerland. We stayed on the German side in a town called Meersburg. This is a view across the lake from our hotel room. We faced the Swiss side with a nice view of the Alps.

This is the view straight down from our hotel room window. Our trip happened to be during a bit of a cold spell, so not a lot of restaurants were using their outdoor areas.

Isn't this a great building? The picture doesn't do it justice.

This is the castle in Meersburg.

This is our hotel. Great location!

We visited Insel Mainau, the flower island, on the lake. This is a peek of the lake from the island.

There are some very large, very old trees on the island. Can you see Adam leaning on the trunk?

This tree was cut down for safety reasons.

There is a butterfly house on the island. There were tons of butterflies in there, and some neat tropical plants.

This is a bunch of caterpillars in cocoons.

It's a peacock!

That's the biggest garden gnome I've seen! He's made out of plants.

I could hang out here with a good book for quite a while.

They call this a flower staircase.

This is the big conservatory on the island.

Here's a huge palm inside the conservatory.

This is the palace on Insel Mainau.

These are Pfahlbauten. Unfortunately, we could not get a good history on these pre-historic villages because they do not offer any information or tours in English.

This is from the pier at the end of town. That hill you see is covered in grapevines. It's very pretty in person.

This is the pedestrian zone in Meersburg. You can see part of the old city wall at the end of the street.

There was an open air concert just below the castle in Meersburg one of the evenings we were there. It was nice to sit and watch that for a while.

Adam loved the jager wagon for a wedding vehicle.

This is a hotel & restaurant called Graf Zeppelin. We had a nice lunch here during our afternoon in Konstanz.

You never know what kind of art you'll stumble across.

Art...

We climbed to the top of the steeple on this church in Konstanz.

Another view from the church tower.

Here is a view of Meersburg from the lake.
